EDGES OF THE OBSCENE
Performance artists: Esmeralda Perez Gonzalez (Tamiz) and Ruth Vigueras Bravo.
Guest Artist: Eren Blancarte
Place: National Cinema of Pornography, Mexico D.F.
Date and Time: December 3, 2010, 17:00 hrs
Duration: 20 min
Concept:
Overwhelming eroticism is a kind of behaviour that society tends to reject; offering instead a false morality, feelings of guilt and taboo. It bans body pleasures, as it wants to control our morality and our most radical nature.
In this performance by using everyday items and grotesque actions the audience is confronted with its subconsciousness, with the dark side of sex, our likings for atrocities that turn sexual behaviour into horror disgust and fear.

BETWEEN PLESURE AND INNOCENCE
Performance artists: Esmeralda Perez Gonzalez (Tamiz) and Ruth Vigueras Bravo.
Guest Artist: Eren Blancarte
Length: 4 min. 44' sec.
Concept:
In this performance we expose the audience to contradictory feelings (violence and pleasure) through reflective criticism on the subject of sexual violence during childhood, from which some behaviours and traumas derive and are which become visible at an adult age. Criminal behaviours associated with sexual deviations are characterized by intense sexual impulses, recurrent fantasies involving objects, activities and uncommon situations. In the performance we create a universe in which the variety of life is displayed and celebrated by means of multiple relationships commonly called perverted. We confront these elements with already established moral and social norms. This way a universe of perversion plays with the limits of reason, going beyond innocence and guilt. Innocence is a quality that does not need any justification, and has its own intensity, Freud argues:
There are cases of childlike sexuality at an early age with masturbation practices and other sexual paraphilias
However, these disorders derived from autoerotic sexual behaviours at an early age, combined with violent circumstances cause psychical and psychological discomfort, social deterioration and low self-esteem.
