Margaret Dragu made her first performance in 1971 in New York City.

First documented performance she made in 1973. See a photo of an original poster to performance of Margaret Dragu and Tom Dean for Un Petit Spectacle, performed for his vernissage/opening of 2 & 3 dimensional art at Galerie Vehicule in Montreal, February 6^th, 1973.

This performance was followed by a performance with Lisa Doolittle for "Sound As AVisual/Le Son Comme Le Visuel" urated by Suzy Lake and at Vehicule with a group of other artists including Norman MacLaren and Clive Robertson, March 2^nd 1973.
